Reliability of Public Services and Infrastructure

Waste Management

Globally, waste contributes to a huge pollution and latent threat to the health of people, animals and environment. ENGAGE takes the challenge in two steps:

Step 1, short term: Waste recycling and incineration plants also to produce power and water

  • Implement facilities to recover resources and, ultimately, to burn the remaining waste, combined with plants for the production of electricity and for the purification of water.

  • With local people and local corporations collect the waste.

  • With local companies distribute the generated electricity and drinking water.

  • In this way, give space and strength to the natural cleansing and recreation processes again.

Step 2, long term: Comprehensive Waste- and Resource Management
  • Mediate means and ways to deal well with the resources, to reduce waste, to avoid and to reuse waste.

Power Supply

Waste, wind, water, sun, biomass, possibly natural gas, ... there are many good and reliable sources of electricity. ENGAGE provides electricity with regional plants on the basis of the regionally available resources. At least waste is present in the vast majority of cases. With its combustion, electricity can be generated (and drinking water can also be obtained with the electricity). Solar power is a very good choice. Electricity plants and networks create many good jobs.

Electricity is an all-important factor in the development of a powerful economy and a dynamic society. ENGAGE creates the necessary infrastructure, coaches entrepreneurs and workers who can deal with it, and the local electricity companies. It is very  good and necessary to replace the often very noisy, environmentally damaging, operationally improvised, unreliable diesel generators!

Water Supply, Water Treatment and Irrigation

It is not craved into stone, that the hot regions of our earth, have to be that hot, dry, and inhospitable as they are. By bringing in biomass and irrigation, even sandwastes can be cultivated. Watering starts with collecting and storing the rain. The rainwater, which is often sufficient, but often gone and lost in a short time, can then be led to the fields continously. Pale and drought-resistant pioneer plants can be followed by crops. A more and more dense vegetation regulates the climate positively with the natural water cycle, with the protection of the earth from heating and drossing, with the water storage and viability of the soil.

ENGAGE mobilizes through the use of technology, through the empowerment of the local population and through the activation of natural effects. The same applies to the extraction and treatment of drinking water.

Urban Development and Traffic Management

Remember the many slums, townships and favelas in the world, better development of these areas begins with the opening and fixing of the access roads, the distribution and collection of waste facilities, the installation of water, electricity and public transport, sewage system and garbage disposal including recycling. All this can be started with simple technical equipment and be carried out with the guided, organised power of the population. Working together and coordinating hands brings a lot. The resulting encouragement is taken along even to turn the huts into everyday, practical, hygienic, weather-proof accommodation, as well as to create, build and operate companies, workshops, shops, community centers and means of public transport.

Fair Work, Fair Trade

Encouraging and empowering the local population to do a good job, can stimulate a thriving economy. Also by making sure, that  appropriate laws and regulations are set and respected in line with to contemporary, international standards, fair work, safe working conditions, and the necessary respect can be promoted leading to fair trade.

In order to keep up the legal framework, cooperation with law firms and NGOs that are committed to human rights, labor law and environmental law is appreciated. Good efforts of governments and companies are supported and leveraged to strengthen their reputation and to enjoy the respect they deserve as responsible, reliable partners for decent business and trade. The fulfillment of ethical standards is increasingly becoming an economic key success factor.

Education, Vocation and Health for everybody

The creation and operation of efficient colleges and universities and health care facilities is one thing. Numerous private and charitable organizations are engaged in this. On the other side it is frightening to experience in many places, how little the possibilities are to visit the schools and hospitals. In large parts of the world, people can not make use of the services because of impossible ways, of harsh conditions, of life strain and of unfreedom. Where it is possible to ease such stress, the chances of good comprehensive care and education increase to the longterm benefit of people and nation/s.
